Tom Robbins in the Schaefer Center lobby located on the campus of Appalachian State University on September 11, 2014. Robbins is the author of such magical realism books as "Still Life with Woodpecker", "Jitterbug Perfume" and "Even Cowgirls get the Blues". He just released a memoir entitled "Tibetan Peach Pie" and recently celebrated his 82nd birthday.
